Why did you apply to this program?
I believe that understanding how to analyze and communicate insights from data is one of the most valuable skills to have in today’s workplace. I applied to this program in order to master it and become more effective at driving impact.

Stronger analytical skills and a diverse network.
What do you enjoy most about the program so far?
I like that most classes have an element of collaboration or group work – I think this group effort really helps build friendships and connections.
What improvements would you suggest before you graduate?
Increased emphasis on real world case studies, such as how statistics can be applied to solve general business problems. I think a core course on project management fundamentals would be really beneficial. Often times in group projects, students aren’t really following a framework for collaboration. A course like this would help them develop habits more closely aligned with industry standards.
How will earning a MASDS help you in your career?
I believe that earning a MASDS will make me more competitive in the job market, allowing me to take on more senior roles. Strong analytical ability is a skill that is valuable in almost any job.
