The Department of Statistics and Data Science is pleased to announce the promotion of Dr. Guani Wu to the position of Continuing Lecturer in the Department of Statistics & Data Science, effective July 1, 2025.
Dr. Wu joined the department in 2019 after completing his graduate study at UCLA. Since his appointment, Dr. Wu has made outstanding contributions to undergraduate education, particularly through his instruction of foundational and computational statistics courses. Students consistently praise his clear and rigorous teaching, as well as his commitment to mentorship and individualized support. In addition to his classroom and scholarly work, Dr. Wu has contributed to the department’s broader mission through roles such as DataFest judge and advisor on honors contracts.
